Three Things I Learned

1. Html, at its base, isn't as complicated as I thought.
2. The two different forms of lists are going to be useful, and I am willing to bet I'm going to confuse them constantly.
3. Remembering to keep the layout as simple as possible is going to be important.

An AI Application that Interests Me: Generative AI

Generative Artificial Intelligence is an AI capable of generating text, pictures or other media using generative, generic models. By learning patterns and structures, Generative AI can create new data with similar characteristics.

Strengths

• Ability to generate multiple/similar images quickly
• Better movie dubbing

Weaknesses

• Heightens concerns about deepfakes, aka digitally forged images and media
• Helps create harmful cybersecurity attacks that have affected businesses and individuals

What I Want to Do For My Semester Project

Project Idea

I am considering for my project to do a study on Generative AI. As a creator, particularly as an artist, I have been seeing a rise in AI art, and the debates, arguments and conflicts that have arisen because of it. Since it is something prevalent to me, this would be a helpful look at the pros and cons of this type of AI. With this in mind, I would like to research its potential uses and abuses, in order to better understand what it is and how it may help and hinder the progressing art field.
